Kawana Elementary remains on lowest achieving schools list

Officials from Kawana Elementary School and Bellevue School District are meeting weekly to work on a plan they hope will pull the school off the state's list of “persistently lowest achieving” schools.
Kawana was one of 188 schools in California the state identified as needing to make major changes or close. The list was finalized this week.
